Kiawah Cares is a community outreach program coordinated by the Kiawah Island Community Association. The initiative began in 2010 as a coordinated way to create community partnerships, to give back to the community and to help improve the overall quality of life of our nearest neighbors on Johns and Wadmalaw Islands.
Supported by Kiawah Island property owners, Kiawah Cares partners with organizations, churches, schools and businesses to address social issues and to open up opportunities to come together as a community.
Property owners, who are also members of the Kiawah Island Community Association, contribute time, knowledge and financial support, serving as volunteers, mentors, advisors and sponsors in numerous opportunities throughout the community.
Because of its success in the community, Kiawah Cares has evolved into more than just a program. In 2014, the Kiawah Cares Foundation was officially established – opening the doors for growth of the mission that drives all those involved with Kiawah Cares.
