Kiawah Cares is pleased to help fill the needs of our community. Each day we receive requests for household goods, school supplies, furniture, etc. to help Sea Island nonprofits or community members fill a void. Our most recent needs are listed below. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to grant a wish or with questions.
- Colored pencils, markers, craft items, stickers, colored paper etc. (Elementary age appropriate only.)
Entertainment Items Would Keep Seniors Engaged
- Five AM/FM radios (headphone adapters if possible) for blind seniors.
- Two Wii gaming consoles. Many residents like to bowl, fish and play games such as Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.
Donate Items to Made With Love
If you have gently-used books for children ages three and four, lease consider donating them to the Made With Love team.
They are also collecting cotton fabric pieces (such as quilting scraps) that will be used for an island neighbor’s project.
Drop off any donated items at the Sandcastle or KICA office dropboxes.
Ongoing Community Needs
- Gently Used Furniture or Appliances
- Beds, Linens and Blankets
- Health and hygiene items (unopened).
If you are remodeling, cleaning out the garage or getting rid of any furniture or appliances, consider donating them to Kiawah Cares. Our partners have lists of families in need and we can find a home for almost anything.
Please contact email@example.com or call 843-768-9194 to arrange a donation. (Subject to availability of storage and volunteers to pick up.)
Kiawah Cares Foundation is a 501(c)3. Tax receipts can be provided.
