There are many ways to volunteer with Kiawah Cares. We are flexible. If you’re not able to volunteer for the full requested time, no worries! We’ll make it work, so please contact us.
The Hands of Christ uniform distribution program is unique. The program establishes a store where the children can shop with a personal volunteer’s guidance for a new uniform, underclothes, and school supplies. Volunteers are asked to be on-site Thursday, August 2 from 4:30 – 8:30 p.m. Distribution will be from 5 :00– 7:30 p.m. Learn more.

Tutors are needed to help improve the reading skills of students who are at least 6 months behind in their reading skills.Volunteers equipped with Reading Partners curriculum help struggling students master their reading fundamentals to reach grade level. Learn more
CHARLESTON AREA THERAPEUTIC RIDING (CATR)
CATR has on-going opportunities for horse leaders and sidewalkers age 14+ to assist students with disabilities in their therapeutic horseback riding program. Program volunteers are asked to make a one hour a week commitment, at the same day and time, for a 12-week session. Learn more
